Retirement of Madam Rodrigo

Madam Rodrigo, former principal of primary section, the deputy principal and acting principal of St. Anne's College has retired from her service.

We take this moment to remember the great service she rendered for the students of the College and may God bless for the peace, joy and prosperity for her retired life.

Leslie Rupasinghe

Defence and Urban Development Authority Coordinating Secretary Leslie Rupasinghe was elected Sri Lanka Scout Association President for 2013, 2014 at a special general meeting. Earlier, he was the Managing Director of Oils and Fat Company Ltd and Agriculture Development Authority chairman.

Rupasinghe was the President in 2011/2012 at the 29th APR and the Centenary Jamboree of Sri Lanka. He is an old boy of St Anne's College - Kurunegala and was a scout during College days. He is also the president of the OBA of St Anne's College, Colombo branch.

Battle of the Rocks Logo for the Annites team

The 30th “Battle of the Rocks” encounter between arch rivals Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala and St. Anne’s College, Kurunegala will be played on March 8 and 9 at the Welagedara Stadium. Play will commence at 10.00 a.m. on both days.

The 18th limited over game will be played on March 10 at the same venue starting at 10.30 a.m.

Janith Perera an elegant stroke maker and opener of the team has scored 550 runs for this season including four half centuries. Shehan Coorey and Mohamed Afshal are third year players who have done well for the team.
Fast hitting batsman Malshan Perera, a third year player has scored 350 runs in this season.
Gayus Kumarasinghe, third year player adds extra energy to the St. Anne’s team as a talented left arm spinner having taken 35 wickets this season.
Amith Jayarathna, third year opening batsman is the vice captain. He has scored over 400 runs. He adds extra confidence to St. Anne’s.
All rounder and third year player Vikum Darshana leads the St. Anne’s team this year. The left hand attacking batsman has scored over 500 runs with a top score of 67 runs against St. Maris, Kegalle.

The chief guest of the big match will be the Cooperative and Internal Trade Minister Jonston Fernando, an old boy of St. Anne's College while the chief guest of the one day game will be Sri Lanka Army Chief of Staff Major General Daya Ratnayaka who is also the Sri Lanka Athletic Association President, an old boy of Maliyadeva.
